MAURICE PYLYPIUK With great sadness on Friday, May 21, 2004 Maurice passed away at the age of 65 years. He is survived by his three daughters, Cynthia (Ed) Yorski of Winnipeg, Janice (Kelly) Buors of Winnipeg and Brenda (Fred) Major of British Columbia. He will be dearly missed by his five grandchildren, Ian and Andrew Yorski, Joshua Buors, Amber and Melissa Major. He is also survived by his sister Sally (Ed) Henzel of Sarto, MB. And his brother Roman (Helen) Pelepiuk of Grunthal, MB, as well as his mother-in-law Nellie Henzel. Many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and friends also cherish his memory. Maurice was predeceased by his loving wife Elaine in 2003 and one daughter in 1966; his father in 1992 and by his mother in 2002. Maurice was born in Grunthal, MB, in 1938, and grew up in Sarto. He met the love of his life, Elaine, in 1958, and they were married in 1961. Maurice dedicated his work career to the City of Winnipeg as a bus driver with over 30 years of service. Maurice lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed socializing, snowmobiling, camping and spending endless hours with his grandchildren. When Maurice and Elaine relocated to Lorette, MB, they found their passion on their acreage. He thoroughly enjoyed his retirement in his "backyard paradise". Prayers will be said on Tuesday, May 25 at 7:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 E. and Navin Road. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 26 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michaels Ukrainian Catholic Church, 400 Day St. Fr. Darren Kawiuk presiding. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ian Yorski, Andrew Yorski, Russell Pelepiuk, Ivan Pelepiuk, Darryl Henzel and Glen Meisner. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Concordia Hospital and the Palliative Care Unit at the Ste. Annes Hospital for their care and compassion.
