Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHEATHER CAROL LYNN OCZERKLEWICZ MARCH 23, 1951 - MAY 31, 2004 It is with great sorrow that I must announce the untimely passing of my wife, my faithful companion of 40 years; loving mother and adoring grandma. This abrupt stoppage of her time on this earth leaves to mourn far too many people. Heather lived life to the fullest, travelling around the world with me. She shared many wonderful dreams and memories that I will cherish forever. She and I grew up in central Winnipeg, living mere blocks apart. We fell in love in the summer of 1966 and later married. Within seven years, she presented me with my son, Russ and daughter, Candy. She began her work ethics in the cosmetic industry, at the age of 15, by first selling door to door, rising through to management and finally settling down to be a freelancer for Lancome Cosmetics. In between she was an entrepreneur, operating a family business called the "Spud Shack". You would always find Heather in the kitchen where she enjoyed preparing, planning and presenting many of her gourmet meals. No question, she could put Emril to the challenge! Heather was a vivacious, feisty, gregarious and aggressive person who touched many lives. She will be deeply missed by her many friends and her family. She is survived by her father Jack, and her loving children; Russ (Michelle, grandchildren, Sara and Erin), Candy (Heath). Sisters, Margaret (Bill), Myrna (Brian), Sharon (Ray) and Ellen. Also numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Finally me, Richard, her husband, lover and best friend. Cremation has taken place. Thank you, Rick Kotaska from Cropo Funeral Chapel. All are welcome to a celebration of Heather's life at 2:00 p.m., the 17th of June, 2004, at Gaffers in Lockport, MB. On Heather's behalf, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
