Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES IAN CORK James Ian Cork, age 88 years, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 15, 2004 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Ian was born on June 20, 1916 in Brunkild, Manitoba, spending his early years in various parts of Southern Manitoba. He was employed by the Canadian National Railway for 46 years, except for the four years he served in the RCAF during the Second World War. During his lifetime, Ian was a Mason, curler, fisherman, traveller and a great lover of any lake or ocean. But more than any of these, he was a great husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother and friend. Ian is survived by: his loving wife of 65 years, Norma; children, Keith (Marlene) of White Rock BC, Lynne (Allan) of Denver, Colorado, Gail of Brandon, and Jim of Hull, Quebec; eight grandchildren, Stephen and Janice Cork of BC, Lorraine Reynolds and Suzanne Balog of Colorado, Andrea Fox, Gary Moroz, Ted Moroz and Blaine Moroz all of Manitoba. There are nine great grandchildren. He is also survived by: his three sisters, Isabelle Humeston, Beatrice Tegg and Joyce Stewart. The family would like to thank Dr. Mary Egan and nursing staff, at the Brandon Regional Health Centre - A3CC, for their loving care. The Ceremony to Celebrate Ians life was held at Memories Chapel on Tuesday, July 20, 2004. A private family interment service followed on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at the Riverside Cemetery, Neepawa, Manitoba. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Ian to the Canadian Diabetes Association Westman Region, B 727-10th Street, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 4G7.
