TIPPING April 17, 1916 - August 1, 2004 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Mother, Gramma, and Great-Gramma "Curling Rock". Edith was predeceased by her husband Edward; brother Victor; and sister Iris. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Ed (June) and daughter Arlene; grandchildren, Jeff (Rhonda), Carolyn (Gregg), Sharon (Rob), Gordon, and Maureen; great-grandsons, Keven, Daniel, Michael, Keenan, Corbin, and Ryan, Forrest, and Noah. Edith was born and raised in Elmwood, and lived all of her life in the area. She was an active member in the curling community, as Past President of the Elmwood Ladies Curling Club, and Life Member; Past President of the Canadian Ladies Curling Association, and an inductee into the Manitoba Curling Hall of Fame. Edith also enjoyed many years at the Elmhurst Golf and Country Club as an active golfer, and Board Member. Together with her husband she enjoyed worldly travel, and later travelled with lady-friends to China, India, Africa, and Peru. Edith also greatly enjoyed her regular family Christmas visits to Calgary. The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the thoughtful staff at the Bethania Personal Care Home. A private family celebration of her life will be held in Calgary.
