ROBERT MELVIN BEGGS Suddenly, on Monday, August 16, 2004, Robert passed away in his sleep, at his residence, at the age of 60 years. Left to cherish his memory are his many friends and relatives who knew him as a great orator, teacher, philosopher, historian and someone who loved to ham it up. Robert was born on April 8, 1944, in Winnipeg and resided in Winnipeg most of his life. He was employed at CKY Television for 20 years, where many good times and friends were made. During his retirement years, Robert worked at Parkwest Shopping Centre, where he enjoyed the camaraderie with his friends and co-workers. On Wednesday, August 25 at 10:30 a.m., Roberts funeral service will be held in Westwood Community Church, 401 Westwood Dr. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Roberts memory may be made to the Sunshine Fund, 194-A Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7, as he was a great admirer of this organization.
