SUKHDEV SINGH RANDHAWA (1952 - 2004) Suddenly on August 25, 2004, Sukhdev Singh Randhawa passed away and left this world at the age of 52 to join Waheguru. Dad came to Vancouver in 1972 from Amritsar, Punjab with hopes, dreams and not a dime in his pocket. Dad worked a number of jobs before marrying Kuljinder Kaur (nee Dhaliwal), before settling in Winnipeg and working for CNR (Symington Yard) for the next 21 years as a machinist. He leaves behind his wife of 29 years, Kuljinder Kaur Randhawa; two daughters, Dr. Neelkamal Kaur Randhawa, Prabjot Kaur Randhawa and son Navdeep Singh Randhawa. He also leaves behind countless friends and family in Canada, USA and India. Our father to us was an inspiration as to what a person can do with determination, hard work and a fierce desire to achieve ones destiny. That legacy and all his successes are reflected in his children and his family and will never cease to be the driving force behind all our dreams and goals. Our father made us who we are today. He has given us strength to pursue our ambitions and become the people we wished to be. Our promise to our father is to continue to build on his legacy and the values he instilled in us. Our father was not only a great provider, husband, friend, but also a wonderful person who tried to live the best life he could, one of honesty, integrity and humility. The head of our household leaves us not empty or alone. Generous even in death, we find comfort in the memories we have of him and take solace in the knowledge that he fulfilled his purpose and will never be forgotten. Funeral service will be held at Garry Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, August 30 at 2:30 p.m. Memorial services will be held at Khalsa Diwan Sikh Society on McLeod Ave. until Monday, 6:30 p.m.
