PHILIP WILLIAM PRICE January 10, 1925 - September 16, 2004 On September 16, with his loving wife Dorothy by his side, Phil passed away at the Selkirk General Hospital. Phil is survived by his wife Dorothy; sister Gladys Blachar (Harry) step-sister Judy Brooks (Clive) all of Selkirk; step-sister Pat Lynch (Al) of B.C., many nieces and nephews and their children. Phil was born in Selkirk in 1925 and joined the Navy in 1942. He met Dorothy in Halifax, then they married in 1945 and returned to Selkirk in 1946 where he worked at MRM until he retired. He was an active member of the Christ Anglican Church and served on the vestry and the maintenance department. He served on the original board of directors (Big 6) at S&D C.C. He loved to curl and was proud to be on the team representing the Legion in the Dominion playdowns with Clive and the boys. He was also a member of the Selkirk Fire Department for many years. Phil enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and golf. He loved going to his trailer at Dorothy Lake with his wife, for many years until he became ill. Cremation has taken place and a Remembrance Service will be held Monday, September 20 at 1:30 p.m. in the Christ Anglican Church with The Rev. Canon Bryan D. Bjerring officiating. The family would like to thank the Dr.s and caring staff at the Selkirk and District General Hospital. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers donations could be made to Christ Church, or the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of their choice. Rest in Peace Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
