Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM ARTHUR TUCKER 1912 - 2004 Peacefully on August 6, 2004, Bill passed away at Seven Oaks General Hospital at the age of 91. Bill is survived by his children, Wayne (Dianne), Gary (Bobbie), Eleanor (Fred) sister, Eileen; grandchildren, Natalie, Adrienne, Cameron, Caitlin, Paul (Jackie), and Jeff (Shana) great-grandchildren, Samantha, Sydney, Zoe, Shoal and Peyton. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Bill was predeceased by his wife, Margaret and sister, Ivy. Bill was a very loving and caring person who will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He was a longtime member of Sparling United Church and received his 50 year service medal from the Brooklands Weston Branch of the Legion. He enjoyed all types of bowling with the IOF mixed and CNR mixed leagues and the River Heights Lawn Bowling Club. He was very active with the seniors swim club at North Centennial Pool as well as Fred Douglas Lodge where he resided in the later stages of his life. Bill loved to travel, with most recent trips to Cuba, Mexico and Lake Manitou, SK. He always felt you should "keep going to the end of the road", which he certainly did. Dad worked at the CNR before retiring in January 1974. A Lucky Few A lucky few of us were able to call him Dad. A husband and father who gave us unfailing support and all of his love in so many ways. To many others he was "Uncle Bill", "Mr. Tucker" or just "Bill". A cherished family member, a teacher and a good friend. All of our memories of him are fond. He left us with much for which we are grateful. We are all better people for having known Dad. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 2 at 11:00 a.m. at Fred Douglas Lodge Chapel, 1275 Burrows Ave. Cremation has already taken place. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in memory of Bill to Fred Douglas Lodge, 1275 Burrows Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2X 0B8 or to Sparling United Church, 1609 Elgin Ave. W., Winnipeg, MB R3E 1C9.
