MARY EVELYN NELSON (nee FORTESCUE) Peacefully on October 16, 2004 Mary, aged 93, passed away at Park Manor Personal Care Home with family at her side. She is survived by sisters-in-law, Grace and Catherine; and brother-in-law Roy Gregg. She was predeceased by her husband Ernie; parents, Harold and Jessie; brothers, Jack and Alex; and sisters, Nell Gregg and Edna Brickell. Mary was born and raised in Springfield and later resided in Winnipeg. In her early teens she was involved in baseball with Springfield Ladies Softball and later in life she enjoyed lawn bowling and curling. Mary worked for many years at Eatons. Mary enjoyed spending time with family and getting together with her nieces and nephews. We would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Park Manor Personal Care Home for their care and compassion. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 21 at 11:30 a.m., at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave. Aubrey Street entrance, with Rev. Bob Webster officiating.
