BARRY MILES THOMAS With his family at his side, Barry Thomas, aged 57 years, of Winnipeg and formerly of Grand Marais, MB, passed away at the Riverview Health Centre on December 1, 2004. Barry was predeceased by his parents, Roland and Alma; brothers, Dennis and Lyle; and infant siblings, John and Clara. He leaves surviving three brothers, Carl (Laverne), Ernie (Carol) and Bruce; two sisters, Judy Orvis (Earl) and Colleen Orvis (Walter) sister-in-law Pearl Thomas; and nephews, Vince, Jay (Shauna), Steve (Kim), Daniel and Sheldon (Jenny). Barry enjoyed watching Saturday night hockey games with his cokes, music (especially George Jones) and classic cars. He will be greatly missed and was an inspiration to all his family, especially his nephews. Barry touched the lives of all who knew him through his gift of kindness and continual thoughtfulness. Barrys wishes were for a private family service at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to 3 East, Riverview Health Centre (Palliative Care). Special thanks to the staff at the Riverview Health Centre for all their excellent care. HE IS NOW SAFE IN THE ARMS OF OUR DEAR LORD, JESUS. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
