KATHLEEN (KAY) TIDMAN September 20, 1925 - December 16, 2004 Peacefully on December 16, 2004, with her family at her side at the St. Boniface Hospital, Kathleen (Kay) passed away. Mom fought a long and courageous battle with emphysema. Her endless courage and strength will be an inspiration to all who knew her. She was predeceased by her husband Ken in 2003; as well as her parents, Walter and Cynthia Bradfield; sisters and brother, Edie, Lil and Walter. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her daughters, Joan (Richard) Prefontaine and Joyce (Rick) Larose; as well as her grandchildren, Lisa (Jonathan) and Jason Prefontaine, Megan and Eric Larose. Kay will also be missed by her dear friends, Myrna Pichette and Bert and Sylvia McFetridge. Kay was born and raised in West Kildonan and in 1950 married Ken. They made a life together in St. Vital where they lived for 52 years. When the house became too much for Kay, she moved to Kildonan House in East Kildonan. She made many good friends there, and she enjoyed her card games, visits and suppers she shared with them. The family extends their appreciation to Kildonan House staff and wonderful medical care she received at the St. Boniface Hospital. A memorial tea celebrating Kay's life will be held on Tuesday, December 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Kildonan House located at 102 - 216 Edison Avenue.
