SOPHIE ELIZABETH DIAWOL (nee ZALESKI) May 22, 1912 - December 20, 2004 With deep sorrow and sadness, we the family announce the peaceful passing of Sophie Elizabeth Diawol on Monday, December 20, 2004 at Oakview Place Extendicare Home. She was predeceased by her husband John in 1959; parents, Simon and Matilda Zaleski; sister Ivy Soron; and brothers, Anthony, Alex, and Stanley. Remaining to cherish her memory and missed by daughter Evelyn (fiance Dave); son Ken; daughter-in-law Cheryl; and granddaughters, Michelle (Jeff) and Kristi. Mom was the most loving and caring person that we children and grandchildren could ever have been blessed with. Her constant kindness and willingness to help were unconditional. The family wishes to thank all caregivers at Oakview Place for their care and compassion. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 23 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin St. with Rev. Fr. Wayne G. Morrissey officiating. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined.
