BARNEY COHEN After 90 years, Barney passed through peacefully on Monday December 27, 2004 at Riverview Health Centre. Surviving him are his wife Rose with whom he shared more than 62 wonderful years; his daughters and their spouses, Cheryl Ashley and Michael Nozick, Marsha Cohen and Michael Mendelson, and Debby Cohen and Greg Mauro; and his pride and joy, his grandson Robert Kettner. Barney was a truly gentle soul whose soft twinkling eyes, loving smile, and the stories he loved to tell, brought a special warmth to all who had the privilege of knowing him. As a master woodcrafter, an art passed to him from his father, he was the last of a dying breed. He will be missed by but always remain with his family. Barney was buried at Rosh Pina Memorial Park on Wednesday, December 29. Special thanks to the angels who cared for him in his last days at home and then at Riverview. A private Shiva will be observed.
