WAYNE THOMAS POLASCHEK Sadly on Monday, January 3, 2005, Wayne Thomas Polaschek passed away at the age of 54 years, at the Seven Oaks General Hospital. Wayne will be lovingly remembered by his wife Barb; his children, Tom (Simone), Kandy (Derek), Stacey and one grandchild, Zachary. He is also survived by his sisters, Sharon (Jerome), Dona (Eddie), Roxane (Mike), Kim (Lee), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Marion and Melvin Polaschek. Wayne was born and raised in Mahnomen, MN. He went to school in Mahnomen and Wauban. Wayne served in the US Army from April 21, 1970 to October 20, 1971. While in the Army he received his GED. When Wayne met Barb he moved to Winnipeg in 1997. He spent most of his working life as a truck driver. Wayne enjoyed the company of many people. He especially liked to be with children. Wayne enjoyed card games, camping, fishing and hunting. Great appreciation goes out to Capt. Faye Shail at the Grace General Hospital for all her compassion and caring. Also to pastors, Capt. Robin and Yvonne Borrows; special friends, Melanie and Janet. A celebration of Wayne's life will be held at the Salvation Army Weston Community Church, 1390 Roy Ave. on Thursday, January 6 at 7:00 p.m. with Capt. Robin and Yvonne Borrows officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wayne's memory to a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME CREMATORIUM 220 Hespeler Ave. @ Henderson Hwy. 668-3151
