EARL POIDEVIN Earl Poidevin, aged 76, went home to be with his Lord December 26, 2004, at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, Alberta. His funeral was held at Briercrest College, Caronport, Saskatchewan on Friday, December 31, 2004. Earl is survived by his loving wife Helen; children, Andrea (Ed) Hammond, Dale (Rick) Hay, Llewellyn (Heather), and Leighton (Lynda); grandchildren, Vanessa, Amanda, Allison, Braden, Sara, Eva, Tony; Helen's family; and Andrea and Dale's mother Norma Poidevin. Earl was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth (Betty) Poidevin (Schmidt). Earl was born October 5, 1928 in Winnipeg and his career was with the Manitoba Telephone System. He was a member of Bethesda Church and Oakbank Baptist Church. He relocated to Caronport in 1981 where he worked at Briercrest Bible College. Earl was a volunteer fire fighter, Mayor, and designed the Condominium. He was a dedicated caregiver to Betty for many years.
