MARY LOUISE PYDEE (nee STERZER) On January 19, 2005, Mary passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 72 years. Mary is survived by her daughter Helen of Winnipeg Beach; brothers, Larry (Marge), Fr. Albert Sterzer; twin sister Rose (Earl) and sister Helen; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Norman Pydee; parents, Lawrence and Helen Sterzer and sister Anita Kott. Mary was born on August 8, 1932 in Regina, SK. She moved to Elmwood at a young age and grew up there, attending St. Alphonsus School and Church. She worked for Air Canada for a time until she went to work for Eaton's, setting up the teletype operations there. While at Eaton's she met her husband Norm Pydee and they married on February 9, 1957. In 1964, Mary had a daughter Helen and became a stay-at-home mom. In 1980, she returned to work with her husband at his company. She worked there until 1995, when Norm passed away and the company sold. She enjoyed her retirement by going to and having garage sales. Mary loved people and was happiest with a house full of people to take care of. She was also a joy to be around and had that warmth and gentleness that drew everyone to her. The family would like to thank Dr. West, doctors, nurses and staff at SICU at HSC for the wonderful care and patience shown Mary. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 24 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Fr. Albert Sterzer officiating. In friends so desire, donations may be made in Mary's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
