Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHELMA BERTHA PRICE Peacefully on February 11, 2005, Thelma Bertha Price passed away at the Ashern Personal Care Home, with her niece Karen at her side, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's at the age of 87. Mom was born August 29, 1917 in Lake Frances, MB, eldest daughter of D'Arcy and Christina Henderson. Her childhood was spent in Camper, MB until she married John in 1941. They lived in various places raising their family until they settled in Regina, SK in 1958, and then finally retiring in Ashern, MB. Dad and Mom enjoyed many years of camping and fishing together with family and friends. She loved to play cards, knit, crochet and spend time with her grandchildren. She was also a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Ashern. Left to cherish her memory are sons, Brian (Rita), Barrie (Evange), Reid (Shirley), and son-in-law Jerry; grandchildren, Patty (Brian), Bernie (Lisa), Tracy (Herb), Rhonda (Mike), D'Arcy (Liz), Donell (Alex), Heather and Lindsay; great-grandchildren, Eric, Jason, Robert, Terran, Brian, Steven, Reanna, Preston, Emily, Jonna, Reid, Daniel and Jackson; sisters, Kay, Phyllis (Eddy) and Evelyn; brother-in-law Herb (June); and sister-in-law Pat; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John; daughter Darlene; great-grandson Tayson; and her sisters, Eleanor and Dorothy. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 19 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ashern Legion Hall with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Interment to follow at Camper Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Bernie, D'Arcy, Mike, Alex, Herb, and great-grandson Eric. The family would like to thank Auntie Kay, Auntie June and Karen for their continuing help and support. Also, we would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Ashern Personal Care Home for the excellent care they gave mom for the last nine years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lakeshore Hospital Guild, in care of Julie Bergner, Box 721, Ashern, MB R0C 0E0, for use in the Palliative Care Unit.
