Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH (EZIA) JESSIE NESKAR It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden untimely passing of our dear sister and friend Elizabeth Neskar on Thursday, February 24, 2005 at the Selkirk General Hospital at the age of 63 years. Ezia was born on April 7, 1941 in Selkirk, Manitoba. She was also educated here and went on to Teacher College in Winnipeg, fulfilling her lifelong dream of being a teacher. Ezia taught at many schools including Margaret Hayworth, Daerwood, Centennial, and finally at Happy Thought where she made many life long friends along the way in her 33 years of teaching. Having taken early retirement due to health reasons, she kept in touch with many of the good friends she made throughout her teaching career. The past few years she enjoyed spending time at Smitty's were she made a whole new group of friends. She loved to go and share stories of their lives and families. Ezia always made time for family and had a special spot in her heart for her great-niece Sydney who really put a twinkle in her eye. We will miss her tremendously! Left to cherish her memory are her brothers and sisters, Mary (Les), Frank (Pat), Ted (Olga), Jennie (Frank), Louise (Adrian) and Carol (the late Stan) and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Ezia was predeceased by her Mom and Dad Louise and Stanley and brother Walter (the late Helen). Prayers will be said on Sunday, February 27th at 7:00 p.m. at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 28th at 10:30 a.m. in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church in Selkirk with Fr. Boguslaw Wardzinski officiating and Fr. Art Seaman assisting. Interment will follow in the Parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be her nephews, Ted Neskar Jr., Jeff Starodub, Greg Verheul, Pat Neskar, Trevor Trippier, Tom Nicholson, Chris Starodub and Brent Verheul. Honorary pallbearers are the rest of her nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Selkirk General Hospital for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ezia's memory can be made to a charity of your choice. Thanks for the years you gave us and for the times we shared. We only pray that when you left us you knew how much we cared. We Love you. Rest in Peace. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.

It was an honour and a privilege to have worked alongside Liz in the public school system. She was caring toward staff and students and interested in doing her best work in working with children. Her compassion and caring soul was always there to support others in good times and in bad. She will be deeply missed, but the legacy she left behind has left its mark on the lives of man and will never be forgotten. - Posted by: Paulette Rozak (Co-Worker) on: Feb 26, 2005
