MARJORIE THORSTEINSON (nee HURRELL) Peacefully on Friday, March 11, 2005 at the East Gate Lodge, Beausejour, Manitoba Marjorie Thorsteinson passed away at the age of 86 years. She was the last of her generation of Hurrell's and was predeceased by her parents Hugh and Agnes Hurrell, brothers and sisters Arthur Hurrell, Frances Hosco, Gerald Hurrell, Ray Hurrell, Lorne Hurrell and Viola Ostholm. Marjorie will be sadly missed by nieces and nephews Garth of B.C., Marvin Hurrell (Debbie), Keith Hurrell, Maxine Whitewell, and many other family and friends in Saskatchewan, Henryville, Selkirk and B.C. She met and married John Stadnyk and lived mostly in Selkirk. After John's death in 1962 she later moved to Spy Hill, Sask., where she met and married Helgi Thorsteinson. They farmed until Helgi's passing away in 1976. Marjorie continued to farm until she moved to Tyndall, Manitoba in 2001. She has spent the last four years in the Crocus Unit of the East Gate Lodge in Beausejour. The family would like to thank Dr. Van Rensburg and all of the Staff of the Crocus Unit at East Gate Lodge for the wonderful care and kindness shown to Marjorie during her stay. Everyone became like family to her and it made her time there enjoyable. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, March 15, at 2:30 p.m. from Russell Funeral Home, Beausejour, Manitoba with Pastor Harold Borchardt officiating.
