RICHARD L. (DICK) BECK died suddenly in Victoria, BC on Sunday, March 13, 2005, where cremation has taken place. Resident of Peterborough, ON since 1949. Beloved husband of Barbara; proud father of Eric (Paulette), Steven (Ilona), Norma (Harold Beaton), Kris (Stana Hancock) and Nancy (Warren Tuck). Grandfather of Julie and Adam Beck, Andrew, Jeff, and Adam Beck. Afi of Kevin and Scott Tuck. Great-grandpa of A.J., Abigael and Daniel Beck. Survived also by brothers, Ray (Alma) in Vancouver, Michael in Winnipeg and sister Joan Publow (Robert) in Winnipeg. Predeceased by brother Allan and parents Johann and Svana Beck of Winnipeg. Dick will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by family and friends. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Community Care Peterborough, The United Way of Peterborough and District or a charity of your choice. Visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22 at Beth Israel Synagogue (777 Weller St., Peterborough, ON). A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, March 23 at 2:00 p.m. at Beth Israel Synagogue, followed by a reception downstairs.
