Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGIUSEPPE (JOE) LAMORGESE June 11, 1924 - April 2, 2005 With his family at his side and after a long battle with Lung Disease, it is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Joe Lamorgese at the age of 80 years. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 46 years Nancy Ada; three daughters, Mary, Rita (Georges), Jeannie (Glenn); grandchildren, Matthew, Andre, Taylor, Chanelle and Erik; numerous relatives and their extended families in Italy and U.S.A. Joe was born in Noicattaro, Italy. His work took him to many wonderful places like Belgium and Switzerland, but always returning to the country he never forgot, Italy. Joe came to Canada with his family in 1967 in search of a better life and settled in Winnipeg where he worked for the CPR for 21 years. He took pleasure in the simple things in life such as his love of reading, history, geography and languages. Friends so wishing, may make a donation in Joe's memory to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6. Our family offers a heartfelt thank you to all the medical staff and nurses on the 5th floor at the Grace Hospital who cared for him during his illness. Their kind and compassionate care is greatly appreciated. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 7 at 2:00 p.m. in the Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. Joe will be laid to rest following the mass in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens with a reception in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca
