Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOUGLAS O. BREWER Doug's life on earth ended peacefully April 7, 2005, following kind and diligent care at Oakview Place. We are grateful for this and for the support of friends over the past months. Doug devoted his life to serivce to others and during his 84 years gave unselfishly and unpretentiously of his time and talents. He was blessed with many intelligences. He spoke eloquently, reasoned mathematically and mechanically, created carefully and cared for others compassionately. He will be dearly missed by those he leaves behind: his wife Edith; his children, Sally and Garry Allan, Penny and Brian Dentry, Steven and Karin Brewer; his grandchildren, Rhea, Jeff and Garth, Meighan and Dean, Chloe and Jess, Sarah and Geoff, Carolynne and Heather; his great-grandchildren, Jackson, Brett, Emily. He was predeceased by his first wife Joan. He will be lovingly remembered for his wit, wisdom, his willingness to stay and listen, and his calm and measured approach in all situations. A service to celebrate his life on earth and his passing to his new eternal life will be held in St. Stephen's Anglican Church, 220 Helmsdale Ave., Wednesday, April 13 at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Diane Guilford will officiate. Flowers gratefully declined. Should friends so desire, a contribution to a charity would be appreciated. Heaven is a promise of peace, love and eternal life for each one who believes. Today thou shalt be with me in paradise. Luke 23:43
