BETT BUGSLAG Bett had a wonderful life, full of love. She died as she lived, with determination, wisdom, and a zest for life. Born in Charlottetown, PEI, April 16, 1925, Betz celebrated her 80th birthday on April 16, and ended her life peacefully on April 22, 2005, surrounded by family. Predeceased by her first husband Vern Bugslag (1969), youngest daughter Sue Helps (1997), and second husband Dr. Archie Gray (1999). Survived by daughter Anne (Don) Hauser, sons, Michael (Colleen), Richard (Linda), Peter (Janice); son-in-law Jeff Helps; and adored grandchildren, Kristina (Jorge) de Medeiros, Sheri (Sean) Wilkinson, Heidi (Tyler) Hodgins, Jennifer Lacerte, Peter Bugslag, Christian (Andrea) Bugslag, Autumn Bugslag (Ian), Rick (Sarah) Bugslag, Lee (Tanya) Cairns, Bob Helps and Kelly Helps; along with 13 great-grandchildren. Also three brothers, Bud (Ruth), Bill (Phyl) and Norman Bentley; brother-in-law Claude (Sheila) Bugslag; Arch's daughters, Judy, Joan, Kathy, Sally and Susan and their families, plus many cousins, nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends. Betz loved woodcarving and will very much miss the carving group. She was also an avid reader, always up on world news, enjoyed rug-hooking and had a great love of gardening, known as the Outdorable Gardener . Her message to all: Love, Sing, Dance and Live! Celebration of Bett's life will be held at First Memorial, 4725 Falaise Dr., Victoria, BC on Friday, April 29 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Bett's name, to the Mt. Newton Centre Society, 2158 Mt. Newton X Road, Saanichton, BC.
