HENRY GEORGE THOMAS April 26, 1936 - April 24, 2005 It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle, Henry George (Duff) Thomas of Peguis First Nation, at the age of 68 years. Leaving to cherish his memory are his children, Henry Kipling (Sonya), Marie Kelly (Lang), Marilyn Sinclair (Gerald) and their mother Lorraine Kipling; 16 grandchildren; brother Donald Thomas; sisters, Dolly Thomas, Eleanor Thomas, Peggy (Alex) Sutherland, Darlene (David) Stranger, Bernice (Philip) Stranger of Peguis, Donna (Joe) Clark of Fisher River, Josephine (Welland) Slater, Marilyn (Bill) Thomas of Winnipeg; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Henry was predeceased by his parents, Mabel and Joseph Thomas; grandparents, Elizabeth and Tom Daniels; sister-in-law Pearl Thomas; brothers-in-law, Maurice Slater and Frank Anderson; and one grandchild in infancy. Dad was very caring, loving and generous to all his family and friends. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren. Dad was a hard worker in whatever job he had. In his younger days he loved to play guitar and sing. He enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with family and friends. Dad will be missed so much. We love you Dad. Special thanks to Peguis Senior Home, Percy E. Moore Hospital, Chief Louis Stevenson and Council, to Jen and Vernon Thomas and Merdina Cameron for all their love and support during the loss of our dad and brother. The wake service will be held on Wednesday, April 27 at 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 28 at 2:00 p.m. with viewing from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Pequis Wesleyan Methodist Church, Peguis, MB with Pastor Ron Favel officiating.
