HENRY ALBERT TITCHKOSKY 1916 - 2005 On Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at his residence at Tabor Home, Henry with his family at his side peacefully passed away. Left to mourn his passing are his children, daughter, Marlene (Bob) Demke of Morden, son, Terry (Norma) Titchkosky of Morden and daughter Mavis (Ray) George of Portage La Prairie; his brother Clarence and sister Bertha Brunn and Edna Wall all of Morden; as well as 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Henry was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen (2001), son Maurice (1993), granddaughter, Cindy (2005) as well as 13 siblings. Henry was born April 16, 1916 in the 1-6 District, one of 17 children born to Wilhelm and Wilhelmina Titchkosky. Born into a large farm family, Henry soon grew and took his place in the family farm operation. He had a love of horses and became the son chosen to be in charge of looking after the stable of horses required to farm the 28 quarters of land. In 1939, he married Kathleen Law of Morden and they moved in with his parents. Katie and Henry eventually moved to their own farm which they farmed for 28 years, raising their four children in the Alexandra School District. In 1967, they moved to Morden. Henry was semi-retired, mowing grass for the Town of Morden and helping his brother Clarence on his farm. After his wife's passing, he sold the home and moved in to Legion House for a period of three years and recently in February took up residence at Tabor Home. Through all his years, he had wonderful health and enjoyed his lifelong hobby of playing his violin with son, Terry on guitar and daughter, Mavis on piano. Henry not only entertained us with his fiddle, but with his sense of humour as well as talking to his grandchildren about the Good Old Days . Whenever there was a family gathering, it was always Henry's role to say the mealtime blessing in German . Come Lord Jesus be our guest See what the Lord has provided for us. Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 2 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran church, 144 7th St., Morden, MB at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Alex Klages officiating. Interment will follow after at the Chapel Cemetery in Morden.
