DORIS (TAYLOR) PRESTON Doris (Taylor) Preston of Encino, California, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2005. Doris, daughter of Max and Chana Miriam Taylor, was born August 31, 1910, in Volin, Ukraine. She immigrated to Winnipeg, in 1914, living here until she moved to Los Angeles, California, in 1941. She met her future husband, Clem in Los Angeles. They were married there on June 21, 1942 and celebrated 55 years of loving marriage. In 1997, Clem predeceased Doris. Doris is survived by her sons, Leslie Preston and Monty (Polly) Preston and by her grandson Darren Preston, all of Los Angeles. She is remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Doris touched the lives of many. She is known for her sensitivity to the feelings of others; for her kind and generous heart; and, for being ever ready to lend a helping hand. She is loved and missed by everyone who knew her. Services and interment took place on May 6, at the Mount Sinai Memorial Park, Los Angeles. The family requests any contributions be made to any charity of the donor's choice.
