Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSE (FELIPE) CABRAL Peacefully on July 1, 2005 at the Calvary Place, with his family by his side, Jose passed away at the age of 83 years. He was born on October 16, 1921 and came to Canada in 1980 from Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal. He owned and operated a store for 25 years. Jose was well known and respected by all those who knew him. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Maria; children, Jose Maria (Odilia), Fatima (Boanerges), Conceicao (Joao), Joao (Angela), Semiao (Auxiliadora), Graciano (Maria), Duarte (Lurdes), Nelia (Silvino), Damiao, Graca (Carlos); 22 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Armano (Fernandina), Regina (Antonio), Amelia (Jose), Adriana all from Acores, Portugal, Conceicao (Joao) of London, ON; sister-in-law Lucilia of Fall River, U.S.A.; brother-in-law Joao of Toronto; cousins, Carlos and Manuela; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends in Canada, U.S.A. and Acores. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. His grandchildren will miss his smile and spending time with him. Jose was predeceased by his parents, Joao and Mariana; brothers, Manuel and Joao; sister Lurdes; brother-in-law Fernando and nephew Armano. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, July 5, at 8:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. N. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 6, at 10:00 a.m. also at the church with Rev. Fr. Jose Eduardo Medeiros presiding. Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave. Pallbearers will be Nelson, Jason, Gregory, John, Michael and Kevin. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Calvary Place and wish to especially thank Joanne for her exceptional care.
