EMMA BARBARA POKRANT Died peacefully on Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at the Red River Valley Lodge in Morris, MB, in her 99th year. Emma was predeceased by her husband, Albert Pokrant, on June 11, 1993. She leaves, to mourn her passing, daughters, Barbara Remus (Garry) of Kanata, ON, and Carol Toews (Jack) of Lac du Bonnet; grandchildren, Jennifer Allen (Terry) of Alpharetta, Georgia, Jonathan (Isabel) of Kanata, Jason of Kanata, and Leocadia Toews of Winnipeg; and great-grandchildren, Tiffany and Megan Allen of Alpharetta, Eliana, Gabrielle and Emma Remus of Kanata, and Tristen Remus of Okawa, Japan. She will be sadly missed by her two sisters, Almina Busch and Bertha (Bella) Pokrant and two sisters-in-law, Anne Dreger and Myrtle Dreger, and as well, by numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held in St. John's Lutheran Church, Rosenfeld, on Sunday, July 10 at 2:00 p.m. Prior to the service, visitation will take place at the church at 1:00 p.m. Weibe Funeral Home (Altona) is in charge of arrangements, 204-324-5404.
