SITA RAM Peacefully, on July 9, 2005, Dhanpati Persad Singh passed away at the Riverview Health Centre. The eldest daughter of the late Sundar and Bhagwandai Singh and the wife of the late Madho Prashad Singh. She was a resident of CI, West Coast Demerara, Albouystown and Brickdam Georgetown, Guyana. She is survived by her sister Soorsatti (Sewak) of Toronto; her four children, daughters, Kay (Harri), Pearlie (Pooran) and sons, Krishna (Monica) and Omkar (Liz). She was the grandmother of JP (Lachman), Yashodra, Malini, Mala, Geeta (Emanuel), Rajesh (Shayla), Premela, Vijay, Nirmala, Anand, Anil, Sham, Sitara and Sanjay. She was also the great grandmother of Sharmela, Alan, Sabrina, Shea, Ava and Braeden. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A former resident of the Bluebird Lodge, where she had many friends, especially Daphne and dear to her was Pearl, whom she loved as a daughter. We wish to express our gratitude to the staff and caregivers for their kindness shown towards her at the Bluebird Lodge. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at the Health Sciences Centre (MICU). Funeral services (Hindu Rites) will be held at Thompson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd.) on Sunday, July 10. Viewing will commence at 2:00 p.m. and cremation at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Riverview Health Centre. Although she is gone, she will never be forgotten and will continue to live in our hearts. May Lord Shiva grant her soul eternal peace.
