JUNE PRITCHARD (nee PATTERSON) June passed away peacefully July 8, 2005 in Victoria, BC. June was born in Red Deer, AB, June 5, 1918. She moved to Winnipeg to pursue work as a practical nurse in the 1940s. She married Jack in 1946 and they moved to British Columbia in 1951. Jack passed away in 1955, leaving June to raise her three children alone. She supported the family working as a store detective for Woodwards, retiring in 1982. June faced many adverse situations throughout her life and met all with great fortitude. June was the last remaining sibling of her family. She is survived by her children, Jerry (Cheryl Rayter), Bruce, Donna (George Rollins) and grandchildren, Mande (Jason), Trevor (Lydia), Josh, Nick, Sarah (Dave) and Laurie. June will be remembered for her keen sense of adventure, love of life and welcoming nature. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
