ERIKA PROHASKA (nee LAUBSTEDT) Peacefully, on Tuesday, August 9, 2005, with her family by her side, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Erika passed into the arms of our Lord. Remaining to cherish her memory are her husband William, of 42 years of marriage; daughters, Monica (Glen) and Patricia; grandchildren, Vaughn and Chloe; sister Natalia; brothers, Edmund, Adolf and Heinz. Erika was predeceased by her parents, Martha and Julius; and brother Leo. Erika was born in Poland on February 10, 1942 and immigrated to Canada in 1954. She married William Prohaska in 1963. Her grandchildren, Vaughn and Chloe now have a special angel watching over them. In compliance with Erika's wishes, a private funeral service will be held at a later date. Heartfelt thanks to Uncle Edmund and Tante Anne for holding Mom's hand so often and to the staff of 3N at the Grace Hospital.
