MATILDA (HILDA) PORANSKI Peacefully on August 13, 2005, at the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg, Hilda Poranski went to be with her Lord. She celebrated her 100th birthday on October 10, 2004, and was the last surviving member of the Poranski family. She was predeceased by her parents William and Emma, brother, Carl and sister, Irene. She came to Canada with her family from Poland in 1905 at the age of one and settled in Kenora, ON until 1920 when they moved to Winnipeg and resided at 696 College Ave. For those of us who were fortunate enough to have our lives touched by Hilda will always remember her for her love of children and her compassion to all. Hilda has been a steadfast lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School for over 46 years and dedicated her life to serving her Lord and her church. She was employed by The T. Eaton Company in the custom tailoring department for over 40 years. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Inkster Boulevard and King Edward Street with Pastor Jan Pastucha officiating. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church. Sincerest Thank You to the staff at the Convalescent Home for the professional and attentive care given to Hilda. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4v.7 NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
