Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBIBI ZAMUNA RAHIM 1915 -2005 Bibi, on Thursday, August 18, 2005, at Victoria Hospital, passed away peacefully from respiratory failure. Bibi was born in Wakenaam, Guyana. She was the eldest daughter of the late Naomi and Sahadat Bacchus and the wife of the late Abdul Rahim. As the mother of eight children, Bibi is survived by three of her sons, Hamid, Faizul and Khalid; and two daughters, Zaiboon and Feeza. Her two stepchildren, Amina and Ajib, also survive her. Also, many grand and great-grandchildren in Guyana and in North America survive her. Widowed at a very young age in 1958, Bibi ensured that all her children received a sound education and she also assisted several other family members when in need. In 1977, Bibi immigrated to Canada to live among her children. In Canada she met many Guyanese who had always treated her with respect and affection. She was particularly fond of the social interaction with the Guyanese community. In the last years of her life, Bibi was particularly fond of the attention and care she received from Daphne McIntyre and Pearl at the Blue Bird Lodge, where she resided. On Saturday August 20, a viewing will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. After the viewing, Bibi's body will be taken to the Manitoba Muslim Association's Masjid at 247 Hazelwood Ave., St. Vital, for Janaza prayer and then on for burial at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens on Lagimodiere Blvd. Bibi's family thank all for their love and sympathy.
