PEARL PERLMUTTER (nee FITERMAN) Our beloved wife, mom, and Baba died on Sunday, September 4, 2005, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Pearl is survived by her loving and devoted husband Bert; her loving children, Diane Davidow (Guy), Dori Cohen (Jeff), and Shane Perlmutter (Marni); her most cherished grandchildren, Eli, Jonah, Molly, and Daniel; Bert's children, Maureen Perlmutter, Stephen Perlmutter (Lisbeth), and granddaughter Rebecca Perlmutter; and sisters, Lily Olin (Izzy) and Bessie Garland. Pearl was born in Winnipeg on October 7, 1932. For many years, Pearl worked as a teacher and after raising her children returned to work as a teacher assistant. Over the years, Pearl formed many long lasting and valued relationships. The light of Baboo's life was her grandchildren. When not visiting or taking care of her babies , she was busy baking and cooking for them. Pearl loved life, whether walking, working out at the Wellness Institute, playing Scrabble, reading, preparing Friday night dinners, or enjoying family barbecues. Pearl will be deeply and forever missed by all who loved her so much. Pallbearers were: Harold Pollock, Jack Kaplan, Nathen Wiseman, Guy Marion, Stephen Perlmutter, and Adam Weizman. Special thanks to Dr. A. Kimelman for all his support and care. Any donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
