EDNA HORN (TRAVES)

EDNA HORN (nee TRAVES) Peacefully at home on September 15, 2005 with her family by her side, Edna Horn, beloved wife of Les Horn passed away. Her memory will be cherished by her children Rick Horn, Linda (Brian) Gray, Susan (Dan) Hagan and Bryan Horn. She will always be remembered by her grandchildren Scott, Sean, Jennifer, Sarah, Jessica, Michael and Kirsten. Edna was born on April 21, 1924 in Wagga Wagga, Australia. She met Les while serving in The Second World War in Australia. They reunited in England where they were married. They came to Winnipeg in 1955, where she made a loving home for her husband and their four children. Edna doted on her grandchildren, enjoying the time she spent with them as much as they enjoyed the time spent with her. After retirement Edna and Les enjoyed a glorious 18 years wintering in Texas where they had many wonderful friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Casey Woo who cared for Edna. At her request there will be no formal service. A private family service will be held at a later date.
