JOSEPHINE ELLEN ( JOEY ) CHAPMAN On Sunday, September 18, 2005 Joey Chapman peacefully passed away at home in her sleep. Joey leaves to mourn her brothers, Bob (Gerry) and Ed (Marilyn). She was predeceased by her brother Jim (Irene). She will be greatly missed by children, Chris, Greg, Jackie (Gerry), Tannis (Brock) and many, many nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her adoring grandson Cole who was truly the love and purpose of her life. Her husband Charles Chip Chapman predeceased Joey in 1985. Mom and Dad enjoyed many years raising their family, summer holidays and winter vacations to Hawaii are among some of their treasured memories. Mom enjoyed many pastimes with friends and family. A night of Trivial Pursuit sparked her lights. As an avid reader and history buff she enjoyed the challenge of a good conversation and debating politics. She had a wonderful summer this year being a gramma to Cole and his friends. Enjoying their comings and goings. Always wanting to feed them and treat them to an ice cream. They will miss Gramma Joey . Marg Pentney was one of Mom's lifelong friends who we are very grateful for. Marg was her eyes mom would often say. A terrific person, Marge provided mom with loving companionship and care. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 22 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joey's name to the C.N.I.B., 1080 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3G 3M3 or the charity of one's choosing. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca
