Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBALDEV SINGH BRAR March 3, 1943 - October 23, 2005 Baldev Singh Brar passed away peacefully at Concordia Hospital on Sunday, October 23, 2005. Baldev was born March 3, 1943 in Bhloor, India to Kartar Singh Brar and Nihal Kaur Brar. Baldev graduated in 1961 with an F.S.C. in Agricultural Science from Panjab University. Baldev worked as an Agricultural Sub-Inspector until 1972 when he came to Canada. He met and married Linda and shortly after started his family. During his time in Canada he was employed as a factory worker, taxi driver, and carman. He officially retired in 1998. While Baldev held many jobs, the job he took the most pride in was that of husband and father. Baldev lived his life for his family. He did an excellent job caring for his family even until his final days. Baldev will be remembered as a kind and gentle spirit, a loving husband, father and friend. He will be forever missed and forever loved. Baldev is survived by his wife Linda (nee Fosty); his son Kevin; his daughters Jocelyne, Cheryl and Amy; his brothers Jagdev (Daljit) of England, Sukhdev (Gurdeep) of India, and Birsurinder (Harpreet) of California. Baldev is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends. Baldev was predeceased by his parents, grandparents, and brother Manjit Singh Brar. A celebration and remembrance of Baldev's life will be held on Thursday, October 27 at 3:00 p.m. at Thomson In the Park , 1291 McGillivray Blvd. A Traditional Sikh Service will follow at the Sikh Society of Manitoba, 1244 Mollard Road. All are welcome. The Brar family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and staff at Concordia Hospital, the Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Services, friends and family for all their efforts and support in Baldev's final days. The family also thanks everyone in advance for their condolences and support. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Brar Education Fund to assist his children in furthering their education.
