JOSE M. RODRIGUES February 19, 1915 - October 24, 2005 Jose M. Rodrigues passed away peacefully at Tuxedo Villa on Monday, October 24, 2005. Jose was born on the 19th of February 1915 in the Azores, Portugal. He was the fourth of 13 children, nine boys, four girls, born to Antonio and Teresa Rodrigues. In 1938, Jose moved to Lisbon, Portugal in search of employment. He remained there until 1958 when he immigrated to Canada. Jose was employed with the CN Rail in track maintenance in various locations on the main line from Winnipeg to Armstrong, ON, until his retirement in 1980. Jose was a very charitable and compassionate person for the less fortunate. His parents and five brothers and one sister predeceased Jose; and one brother and one sister died in infancy. He will be missed by his brothers, Jamie and Annibal and his sisters, Maria da Luz and Maria de Jesus (living in the Azores) and many nephews and nieces in Winnipeg, Fort Frances, British Columbia, Ontario, and Calgary. The family would like to thank the staff at Tuxedo Villa, especially station one, where Jose was generously cared for by the staff. The funeral will be held at St. John Brebeuf Church, 1707 John Brebeuf Pl. in River Heights on Thursday, November 3 at 11:00 a.m. Msgr. W. Jamieson will preside. Prayers will be at St. John Brebeuf on Wednesday, November 2 at 7:30 p.m. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220
