Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH (JOE) G. CHARETTE SR. (C.D.) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joe with his family at his side. Joe came to us on August 12, 1926 and left this world on October 30, 2005 at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 79 years. Joe was predeceased by his loving parents Edouard and Lucie. He is survived by his six children, Brian, Darlene, Gail (Ellen), Joanne (Derwin), Lisa (Barry), Joe Jr. (Tammy), stepson Raymond (Darcy); 19 grandchildren and a number of great- grandchildren. Also Nettie his companion and best friend of over ten years, and all the people he touched in his journey through life. Joe attended school in St. Norbert and St. Pauls College. He joined the Army in 1945 and served for 22 years in Canada and Korea. He was a cook by trade in the Army, Universities, and in Northern camps. He served with the Corps of Commissionaires. Joe was a member of Korea Vets Association, serving on the Color Party for over eleven years, based out of Rockwood Army Navy. He was a member of St. Vital Legion Branch 16 and it's 65 club of which he was Secretary and President for years. The family wishes to thank the staff of 4A South at St. Boniface Hospital for their kindness. A service of remembrance will be held Friday, November 4 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rockwood Army Navy, 341 Wilton St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made Canadian Diabetes Association, 102 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6. You never had a harsh word for anyone. You treated everyone with kindness. You treated my Mom with love, respect and consideration, I will always love you for that.
