BEATRICE MAY BLOCKER (QUILLIAMS) On Monday, October 31, 2005, Beatrice Blocker, widow of Erwin Blocker, passed away peacefully at Kin Place Personal Care Home in Oakbank, MB, at the age of 95. She grew up on Banning Street in Winnipeg, went to Greenway School, Daniel McIntyre Collegiate and Normal School. She taught school at Firdale, Lily Bay and Dugald. While she was teaching in Dugald, she met Erwin Blocker. They were married October 28, 1939. They resided in the Meadowvale area until three years ago when Mom moved into the personal care home. She is survived by her children, Ken, Brian (Terry) and Doreen; grandchildren, Kenny (Carol-Ann), Robert (Karen), Melissa (Courtney) and Jamesina; great-grandchildren, Owen, Andrew and Mathew. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Iris Quilliams; and numerous nieces and nephews and their extended families. The family wishes to thank the staff at the personal care home for their care and kindness to Mom and the family. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 4 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 401 Kildare Ave. W., Transcona, with Pastor Dan Abraham officiating. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to the Oakbank Personal Care Home, Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
