JAMES (JIM) MICHAEL BOKEN -
Date of Passing: Oct 29, 2005
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES (JIM) MICHAEL BOKEN 1940 - 2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jim, with his family by his side, on Saturday, October 29, 2005 at the Victoria General Hospital, at the age of 65 years. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife Margaret, of 45 years of marriage; sons, Michael (Gillian), Stephen, Anthony (Cathy) and Christopher (Kitt) and by his grandchildren here in Winnipeg and in St Helens; John, Amy, Amanda, Emma, Jason, Genevieve, Michael, and Dayna; sisters, May and Linda as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family both in Canada and England. Dad devoted his life to his wife and family with whom he felt blessed and shared many good times. He was involved in his children and grandchildren's lives and would always share an encouraging word, a kind comment or a simple hug, kiss and smile in all of our endeavours. Jim had a great sense of humour that everyone who knew him will remember. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 5 at 11:00 a.m. in St. John Brebeuf Roman Catholic Church, 1707 John Brebeuf Place with Msgr. Maurice J. Comeault, P.H., V.F. presiding. In keeping with Jim's wishes, interment will take place in the family plot in England. Many thanks to the kind doctors and staff for their care at the Victoria General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (Manitoba Division), 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7. Dear Margaret and family I just found out today of Jim's passing, it was a shock indeed. So sad that you both had not returned to England by now. My thoughts are with you and I do hope to speak with you personally as early as possible. Thinking of you all and the good times we shared.
