JOSEPH A. HAMPSON It is with the greatest sadness that we announce the loss of our dad and grandpa, Joseph Hampson on Sunday, November 6, 2005, at North York General Hospital. Dad lost his long battle with lung disease on his 74th birthday. He is cherished by his children, Deborah (Bruno), Joanne (Paul) and his grandchildren, Kathryn and Alessandro. Joe is predeceased by his loving wife Shirley Hampson (2005) and son-in-law Richard Winstanley. Dad will always be remembered for his devotion to his family. Dad worked for over 30 years as a driver for TTC and GO Transit and decided to retire when his granddaughter Kathryn was born. Dad was an avid model train collector and spent many weekends at model train shows with his American Flyer collection. Dad was also very active in the activities of Newtonbrook United Church. We would like to thank Dr. Kirshen for his kindness and wisdom, Dr. Iscoe, and nurse Elaine for their compassion and understanding and Bev Burns for her daily visits with dad. Service will be held at Newtonbrook United Church, 53 Cummer Ave., Toronto, ON M2M 2E5, Thursday, November 10 at 10:30 a.m. If desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society - 620 Wilson Ave., Suite 501, Toronto, ON M3K 1Z3 or Newtonbrook United Church. • Jo & Paul, I was so sorry to hear about your dad. I got your email that you were away but did not know until Darlene told me that you were in Toronto as your dad had passed away. I am so sorry. I am not going to get into all the things people say at times like these just know, both of you that I am here if you need someone at anytime as I do care. Family means everything, but friends are second and often can help when you are feeling alone. Take care. Barb - Posted by: Barbara Raison (Friend) on: Nov 12, 2005
