Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVELINE JOHANSON Eveline Johanson passed away on November 12, 2005, at Oakview Place. She was predeceased by her husband Olafur, in 1980 and her sisters, Florence Beauchemin and Elsie Land. She is survived by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Clifford and Lois Johanson of Gimli, Steine and Marion Johanson of Portage la Prairie and Helga McNeill of Neepawa, good friends, the Virtue family, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, including her goddaughter Judy Johanson. Eveline was born in St. Boniface to Amanda and Joseph Paul and lived in St. Boniface and Winnipeg all her life. In 1947, she married Olafur Johanson who became Superintendent of Parks with the City of Winnipeg. They enjoyed travelling to many parts of the world. Eveline volunteered at Tache Nursing Home and with the White Cross Guild at what was then the General Hospital. Her family wishes to thank the staff of Oakview Extendicare Home for caring for Eveline for the past three years. Their professional dedications and consistent good-will in carrying out their tasks is much appreciated. An interment service in her memory will be held on Wednesday, November 16 at the St. Boniface Cemetery, 917 Archibald St., at 11:00 a.m., Fr. Leo Couture officiating.
