JULIETTE PELLETIER Juliette Pelletier, of the Northern Lights Manor and long time resident of Flin Flon, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 23, 2005 at the age of 94 years. She was born in Blaine Lake, SK on August 30, 1911, one of eight children, seven daughters and one son. The family relocated to St. Ann, MB when Juliette was a baby and she was raised on a farm there. As a young woman Juliette took a commercial course and then worked as a receptionist at a travel agency in St. Boniface. It was while working there that she caught the eye of a posty , namely Jean B. Pelletier. They were married on October 13, 1934. In 1937 their first born Jeannine arrived, followed by Marcelle less than a year later. The young family moved to Flin Flon in 1941 and Ed was born in 1947. Juliette was a woman of strong faith and belonged to the CWL. She experienced some very difficult losses in her life; her young and only brother Edmund who didn't return home from the Second World War; her only son Ed who lost a battle with leukemia in 1984 and then her beloved Jean in 1995. She lived through each of these with her ever-enduring grace and dignity. Prayers were said Friday, November 11 at 6:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Dadson Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial for Juliette was held Saturday, November 12 at 1:00 p.m. from St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, with Fr. Denis Bourbonnais as Celebrant. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Northern Lights Manor, in care of Flin Flon General Hospital Business Office, P.O. Box 340, Flin Flon, MB, R8A 1N2. Dadson Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements. (204) 687-5821. Online condolences may be made at www.dadsonfuneralhome.com
