OSCAR NORMAN SIGURDSON It is with deep sorrow that I, Margaret Sigurdson, must accept the passing of my beloved husband Norman Sigurdson on Wednesday, December 7, 2005. He will be greatly missed by his sister Margaret Green (Bruce) and his niece Andrea Green. Others to mourn his passing are his sister-in-law Irene Hodgson, his sister Thora Cooke and his nieces, Sigrid Pericich (Joe), Lenore Harris and Dianne Cornelson (Garry). Norman was a man of compassion and integrity. Upon honourable discharge from the Armed Forces, he joined Bird Construction Company. He was a loyal and hard working employee for 43 years. As a boy, every free moment was spent playing hockey. The lifelong friends he made at Daniel Mac met regularly for their Friday night Poker games. Norman and I spent our time skating, cross country skiing, cycling, 10 pin bowling and of course golfing. Our greatest trip overseas was in 1978 where we attended the British Open at the Old St. Andrew's Golf Course. Jack Nicklaus won. We were fortunate that we were able to travel to the British Isles, Longboat Key, FL and once to Iceland, home of Norman's ancestors. We were overwhelmed by the hospitality of these wonderful Icelandic relatives. Our favourite vacation spots were Vancouver and Longboat Key. We never did get around to retiring to either place. My Norman is now free from two years of pain and bewilderment. My love goes with you, my dear one. A private graveside service was held. No flowers please. Donations to a favourite charity is desired. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
