ALEXANDRE JOSEPH (BOB) DESROCHERS 1911 - 2005 Passed away peacefully at the Rideau Park Personal Care Home, in Brandon, MB on Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at the age of 94 years. Bob Desrochers lived the majority of his life in Glenboro, MB. Left to mourn his passing are his brother Leo (Yvonne), brother Albert (Margaret), numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, his father Ovila in 1966 and his mother Marie Louise in 1985, his brothers Phil and Ovide, and sister Rosa. Alexandre, better known as Bob , was born on January 1, 1911, in the town of Mariapolis, MB, moving a few years later to another family farm in Baldur, MB. In 1947 Bob, along with his parents and brother Leo and family took up residence in Glenboro, MB. There, Bob worked for the Manitoba Telephone System until 1962 when he took employment with the Village of Glenboro as Sanitary Engineer. After retirement from his position in 1976 Bob continued to reside in Glenboro. When Bob's health began to fail in 1996, Bob moved into the Glenboro Personal Care Home where he remained until his condition worsened and he was relocated to the Rideau Park Personal Care Home in Brandon. He remained there until his passing. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the Willmor Chapel, 415 Broadway St., Glenboro with Fr. Firmin Michiels officiating. Interment will take place in the family plot in the Mariapolis Cemetery.
