Felix was born on June 6, 1925 in the Silver Creek Municipality. He attended Balfour school and helped on the farm. Felix took over the family farm in 1946 and the following year married Joyce Ewanchuk on February 1. Together on the home farm, they were blessed with one son Julian. While on the farm, Felix was involved in the Registered Seed business. He also enjoyed many, many fishing and hunting trips with his brothers and nephews. Any other spare time was spent trapping and collecting coins. Then in 1975, they retired to the town of Russell, where he casually worked as a guard and a crop insurance adjustor. Until his failing health, his spare time was spent outdoors growing apple trees and on the weekend he was looking for antiques. Felix was an active supporter and long time parishioner of St. Joseph the Worker Church. His absence in the parish community will be deeply felt. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Sophia Mushumanski; his three brothers, Tony and wife Helen, Charlie and wife Margaret, Dan and wife Bertha; and one sister Nellie and husband Peter Boychuk. Also one nephew Willie Boychuk and two nieces, Lily Ann Penner, and Lorraine Jones. Surviving is loving wife of 58 years, Joyce; and one son Julian and wife Sandra. Also three grandchildren, Christine and husband Jamie Judd, Travis, and Roxanne; also one special great-grandchild Jacob Felix Gordon Judd, which he enjoyed very much and was very proud of. Also one brother Stanley and wife Donalda Mushumanski of Russell; and many nieces and nephews. Prayer service was held on Tuesday, December 27 at 7:30 p.m. and the funeral service was held Wednesday, December 28, both at the St. Joseph the Worker parish in Russell, MB. Father Dominic Yuen was officiating and Shaun Shmyr doing the readings and eulogy. Pallbearers were Jack Hetter, Alfred Mushumanski, Rodney Mushumanski, William Mushumanski, Alex Boychuk, and Shaun Shmyr. Following the interment at the Russell Memorial Gardens, a lunch was served by the C.W.L. Ladies in the church hall. Braendle-Bruce Funeral Services were in care of the arrangements. His family and friends meant everything to him and he will sadly be missed by all. Felix will always remain in our hearts and prayers forever.
