YVONNE STELLA FREYNET (nee MAURICE) 1925 - 2005 C'est avec grande tristesse que nous annoncons le deces d'Yvonne Freynet (nee Maurice). Tout doucement, sa famille a ses cotes, Yvonne s'est eteinte le 31 decembre 2005 a l'age de 80 ans a l'Hopital Ste-Anne, a Sainte-Anne (Manitoba). Notre douce Yvonne, fille de feu Philias Maurice et de feue Lucie (nee Tetreault), fut precedee dans la mort par Roland, son epoux, ainsi que par ses freres, Edouard et Louis Maurice, ses beaux-freres, Lawrence, Gerard et Leo et sa belle-soeur, Solange. Elle laisse dans le deuil son frere, Gerard (Shirley) et ses soeurs, Lucille, Flora, Janette (Emile), Clemence (Dollard), Cecile et Pierrette (Louis), ses belles-soeurs, Anne, Elvy, Diane (Maurice), Hermine (Antonio), Yvette et Dora, son beau-frere, Alix, sa tante, Sr Cecile Maurice, sgm, ses enfants, Michelle, Paul, Lise, Robert (Virginia), Louis (David), Gilbert (Marwan), Monique (Steve), Francoise (Guy) et Alain, ses petits-enfants et arriere petits-enfants, ainsi que maints neveux et nieces et de nombreux amis. Nee a Eastend en Saskatchewan, Yvonne a passe la plupart de sa vie a Sainte-Anne-des-Chenes, a l'exception d'une periode de cinq ans pendant laquelle elle a vecu a Gravelbourg (Saskatchewan) avec Roland et ses enfants. Yvonne a pendant quelque temps travaille pour le compte des Clercs de Saint-Viateur a Sainte-Anne. Ayant suivi un cours en arts culinaires au College communautaire Red River, elle a d'abord travaille avec Gerard, son beau-frere, a la Boulangerie de Saint-Anne et ensuite au Cafe Jardin du Centre culturel franco-manitobain, ou ses talents de chef etaient bien connus. Femme des plus travaillante, Yvonne etait competente cuisiniere et couturiere, et gerait son menage de main de maitre. Ses enfants et ses petits-enfants, sur qui elle avait une grande influence, accueillaient sa douceur et ses conseils avec admiration et un profond amour. Eternellement genereuse, elle accueillait chaleureusement ses visiteurs. En effet, ses nombreux neveux et nieces, temoins et beneficiaires de cette generosite et de son approche calme et maternelle, garderont un beau souvenir de leur tante. Femme rayonnant une beaute tant interieure qu'exterieure, elle a quitte le monde avec serenite. La famille souligne avec reconnaissance le devouement des docteurs Arcel Bissonnette et Richard Duval, du personnel ambulancier, ainsi que du personnel de Sante Sud-Est Inc., et de l'Hopital Sainte-Anne. Les soins offerts a Yvonne ont ete prodigues avec enormement de compassion et de respect. Nous tenons aussi a remercier l'abbe Rene Chartier et le Pere Isaie Blanchette. Selon les dernieres volontes d'Yvonne, l'incineration a deja eu lieu. Les funerailles celebrant la vie d'Yvonne auront lieu en l'eglise catholique de Sainte-Anne le mercredi 4 janvier a 14 heures. Les prieres seront recitees le soir precedent, soit le mardi 3 janvier, a 19 h 30 au meme endroit. Toutes marques de sympathie peuvent etre traduites par des dons au Fonds Hopital Ste. YVONNE STELLA FREYNET (nee MAURICE) 1925 - 2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Yvonne Freynet (nee Maurice). Peacefully, with her family at her side, Yvonne left us on December 31, 2005 at the age of 80, at the Ste. Anne Hospital in Ste. Anne, MB. Our beloved Yvonne was predeceased by her husband Roland, father Philias Maurice, mother Lucie Maurice (nee Tetreault), brothers Edouard and Louis, brothers-in-law, Lawrence, Gerard and Leo, and sister-in-law, Solange. She will be lovingly remembered by her brother Gerry (Shirley) and sisters Lucille, Flora, Janette (Emile), Clemence (Dollard), Cecile and Pierrette (Louis), by her sisters-in-law Anne, Elvy, Diane (Maurice), Hermine (Antonio), Yvette and Dora and brother-in-law Alix, by her aunt Cecile Maurice, sgm, by her children Michelle, Paul, Lise, Robert (Virginia), Louis (David), Gilbert (Marwan), Monique (Steve), Francoise (Guy) and Alain, by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews too numerous to mention, and by her many friends. Yvonne was born in Eastend, Saskatchewan and lived most of her life in Ste. Anne, Manitoba, except for five years with Roland and her children in Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan. She attended Red River Community College where she studied commercial cooking. She was employed by the Clercs de Saint-Viateur in Ste. Anne, and worked with her brother-in-law, Gerard, at the Ste. Anne Bakery and later as chef for the Cafe Jardin at the Centre culturel franco-manitobain where she was well-known for her wonderful cuisine. Yvonne was not afraid of hard work and was very skilful in cooking and sewing and in managing a household. She was deeply loved and admired by her children and grandchildren in whose lives she had a gentle and welcome influence. Her generosity was boundless; there was always room for one more. Her numerous nieces and nephews, who were the recipients of that generosity and of her calm and motherly attitude will always have a fond memory of her. Yvonne was a beautiful woman, both inside and out, and she left this world with serenity. The family wishes to express its deepest gratitude to Dr. Arcel Bissonnette, Dr. Richard Duval, ambulance attendants and staff at South Eastman Health and at the Ste. Anne Hospital. Yvonne was cared for with much compassion and respect. We also sincerely thank Fathers Rene Chartier and Isaie Blanchette. According to Yvonne's wishes, cremation has taken place. Yvonne's life will be celebrated at a funeral mass in the Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 4 at 2:00 pm. Eulogy will be read at 1:45 p.m. A prayer service will be held the previous evening, on January 3 at 7:30 pm in the same church.
