CLARENCE BOYD Peacefully, on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at Misericordia Place, Clarence Boyd, aged 96. He was predeceased by his wife Jean and brother Charles. Clare is survived by daughter Diane, son-in law Walter, son David, daughter-in-law Kay, granddaughter Heather and her husband Collin. Clare was born in Winnipeg on January 30, 1909, six years after the Wright Brothers' first flight and lived through a century of tumultuous change, the First and Second World Wars, the Great Depression, man's first step on the moon and the computer age. He moved through these changes with grace, humour and twinkling Irish charm. He was a gentle man, deeply loved and will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the staffs at Misericordia Interim Care Facility, Fort Garry Care Centre and Misericordia Place for their loving and compassionate care. The care that Clare received in the last year of his life was a great comfort to him and an inspiration to his family.
