Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWESLEY JAMES MAHER Wesley Maher passed away peacefully at the Victoria General Hospital on January 13, 2006 at the age of 91 years. He leaves to mourn his sister, Bertha Gow of Victoria, BC; his brothers, Howard of Brandon, MB and Stanley (Celia) of Victoria, BC. He leaves behind special memories for niece Jean (Don) Elcheshen of Winnipeg, MB and nephews Jim (Gail) Maher of Brandon, MB and Ray (Wendy) Maher of Burns Lake, BC, as well as many other nieces and nephews. After retiring from CNR, Wes passed his time enjoying his cottage at Pelican Lake, and continued to travel extensively. He loved to travel and had visited almost every country in the world. He would gladly share his travel memories with any listening ear. Wesley was also extremely interested in antique aircraft and spent many hours volunteering at the Western Canada Aviation Museum rebuilding a Vickers Vedette. We would like to thank the staff and residents of Lindenwood Manor for watching over our uncle. Wesley will be missed by all relatives and friends, may he rest in peace. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 17 at 10:30 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Western Canada Aviation Museum, 958 Ferry Road, Winnipeg, MB R3H 0Y8.
